Port au Port Skills Link Host Christmas Party

The Port au Port Skills Link program, in partnership with the Port au Port Economic Development Association and the Piccadilly Local Service District, hosted a christmas party at the Development Association office on December 18th, 2010.  Children and parents enjoyed an afternoon of fun games and activities, crafts, refreshments and a visit from Santa.

The 10 Skills Link participants completed a second 4-week work placement in December and are currently preparing for their program completion ceremony on February 4th, 2011.  During the 40-week program, the participants worked with their coordinator, Corinne Tulk, to develop skills which would prepare them to enter the work force.  A series of personal and skills development workshops are a core part of the Skills Link program and assist participants to make future career and life decisions.
