Power Up! Participants Wanted!

**Deadline:  Friday, June 2, 2017 **

Are/Have you:

  • 25 years or older;
  • Receiving or eligible for Income Support;
  • Non-EI eligible (have not received EI benefits for the past 5 years);
  • Feel you have little or no skills to offer employer;
  • Interested in building your resume
  • A resident of Bay St. George area.

The Community Education Network is seeking 8 individuals to participate in a client-centered job readiness program. This 32 week program, in partnership with the Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour will include:

  •   4 Weeks Pre-Employment skill building to include: Communication Skills, Team Building,   Community Services and Resources. Also will include an active job search with concentration on Employer Expectations, Effective Resume and Cover Letters, and Interview Skills.
  •   2 Weeks coached job search.
  •   930 hour Work Placement
  •   13 Biweekly workshops offering life and coping skills in areas of Anger Management, Personal Budgeting, Ineffective Decision Making and others.
