Community Education Network Celebrates Volunteers
On Wednesday, April 13th, there was a flurry of activity at the L.S. Eddy Complex in Stephenville as the Community Education Network hosted a Volunteer Appreciation event. The “mix and mingle” lunch was part of the Community Education Network’s 20-year anniversary celebrations.
Preparing for the event that morning were staff members of CEN and the Community Action Committee, as well as participants of the “Step Up to Employment” and “Bay St. George” Skills Link programs. Skills Link participants developed a series of posters depicting what they felt volunteering really means to the life of a community. Attached are some examples of these posters.
