Patrons Enjoy Live Music at Café
Lloyd Swyers and Francie Downey entertain at the Community Café
Patrons at this month’s Community Café had the treat of being entertained by live music over their lunch on May 10th! Lloyd Swyers and Francie Downey, a local duo named Flashpoint, have been playing together for years and perform regularly around the local circuit, brought their talents to the Lion’s Club for the café much to the amusement of the guests.
Coleman’s Food Centre has been a major supporter of all the cafés held at the Lion’s Club and took on full sponsorship of the May café in partnership with the HSI committee. Along with providing an awesome lunch and a beautiful cake, several of their management and staff were on hand to assist with serving the meal.
The Community Cafés are well attended, and individuals come to enjoy the meal and the down home laid back environment. Organizers, including the HSI, CEN, Zion, Lion’s, and many others enjoy the day as much as the patrons, and like the opportunity to network with the community at large.
