Community Café: Spring is in the air?
Although the calendar marks that spring has arrived, the -13o C wind chill offered up a strong argument that winter isn’t ready to give up without a fight. But, spirits weren’t dampened by this, as was evident inside the Lion’s Club today during the monthly Community Café.
Thank you to the United Church Women who volunteered their time and their cooking skills to prepare and serve a delicious hot and tasty meal. For dessert, patrons were treated to brightly colored cupcakes, all in the spirit of Easter.
With spring comes new life and new opportunity. At the Community Café, we offer opportunities to meet old friends and make new ones; listen or dance to the lively musical renditions of Lloyd and Francie; and a chance to enjoy a delicious meal.
