Lovin’ summer had me a blast!
With summer sizzling to an end and not to distance memories of a harsh winter, everyone has been taking advantage of hot summer days. During June, July and August patrons continued to enjoy fellowship and fun, along with a tasty meal of course, at the Community Café held at the Lion’s Club each month.
Thanks to sponsors, New Horizons and Stephenville Lion’s Club, everyone enjoyed a scrumptious meal of bbq hotdogs/hamburgers and salads. As it is with each café, everyone is always welcomed and we are pleased when we see new faces. Thanks to all who come out to lend a hand and make each café an enjoyable time for all.
Our appreciation goes to Sarah Bartlett of the Canadian Cancer Society who set up a display and educated us on how to enjoy the sun while protecting us from its harmful rays. To all who participated in our Sun Smart Trivia, thank you and congratulations to Cynthia Green, winner of the Sun Smart Tote.
