Season’s Greetings from your friends at the Community Café
Tantalizing smells of roasted turkey, dressing and gravy tickled the taste buds as patrons entered the Lion’s Den on Thursday, Dec. 11 for our Christmas Community Café. The den, adorned in its Christmas apparel of red and green greeted all who entered in. Christmas carols filled the air as old friends were reacquainted and new faces welcomed.
Special thank you to the Town of Stephenville for sponsoring December’s café; turkeys were donated by Western College, Dominion, Indian Head Coop, and Community Youth Network. As each month, patrons are treated to fresh fruit provided by Coleman’s Food Center. To all the dedicated volunteers who come out each month to offer their time, a heartfelt thanks.
So from our hearts to yours, “Have yourself a very Merry Christmas and a bright and Happy New Year!”
“It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes or bags!… Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before! “Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more!” ~Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
