Community Networking-Positive Outcomes
A gathering of students, administrators, government officials and community partners gathered in the Lecture Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 25 as Grenfell’s Office of Engagement facilitated a networking session.
Director, Ken Carter with Grenfell opened the two-hour session highlighting previous partnerships, and the importance of “creating meaningful relationships.” He acknowledged partnerships in the room, including Community Education Network. He added, networking offers opportunity to “engage communities through teaching as well as, learning.”
Fifteen 3-minute snapshots offered a glimpse into the services, programs and offerings of community organizations and college programming to those in attendance.
