A Hard’s Day Work (Jamarama)
Community Education Network & Associates, along with staff at LS Eddy Memorial Complex, supported today’s Jamarama, an annual fundraising and awareness campaign by the Janeway Children’s Hospital. Donating a minimum of $5 to wear their pj’s, $90 was raised by participating staff members.
While staff enjoyed wearing their favorite pajamas, relishing in the comfort, the sentiment behind the day was not lost. The reality for many children who stay at the Janeway, pjs are their everyday clothing choice.
What’s the good of being in pjs if you can’t enjoy a comfort breakfast? So, not ones to miss an opportunity, it was pancakes, bacon and hash browns for brunch. Who says you can’t work hard and enjoy your work.
