HEALTHY BABY CLUB RESOURCE MOTHER

The Community Action Committee for Southwestern Newfoundland in partnership with Western Health is presently seeking a Resource Mother for the Healthy Baby Club in the Stephenville Crossing, St. George’s and Bay St. George South area.

This position involves the coordination of the Healthy Baby Club prenatal and postnatal program in partnership with Family Resource Program Staff and Public Health Nurses as well as other community partners and health professionals.  The program includes home visitation; provision of food supplements; facilitation of cooking and nutrition sessions; prenatal education in collaboration with Community Health; breastfeeding education and support; and post natal follow-up.

Applicants must have experience working with parents/caregivers, infants and children. Education and training in Early Childhood Education, Health Care or related field is required.  Must have up to date First Aid/CPR training and a Certificate of Conduct. Minimum of three years related work experience.  Must have own transportation.

Salary is $16.50 per hour for 35 hours per week.  Position commencing Monday, October 29, 2018
