Ready-to-Work Program Started

Nine Skills Link participants have embarked upon a national employability training program.  Ready-to-Work is a nationally recognized skills development program designed to assist people transitioning into the workforce.  Based on the emerit National Occupational Standards, these nine youth will be provided with skills, knowledge, attitudes and experience required for long term stable employment.

Partnering with Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador, CEN will offer this program over a period of ten weeks where participants will engage in building and demonstrating a positive attitude, valuing safety in the workplace, enhancing essential skills and providing professional service. Participants will experience practical application of acquired skills in the preparation of job-search documents and upon completion will be awarded a certificate from HNL.
