Throwing Rocks for the fun of it!
The Bay St. George Sick Children’s Foundation, in partnership with the Caribou Curling Club, held their annual fun spiel during the Valentine’s Day weekend. Over a dozen teams participated in the fun event including our own CEN staff. Patti Spencer, Kelly Skanes, Vanessa Lee and Jenny Chaulk braved the cold, bared their vulnerabilities and proverbially took one for the team.
All in the name of fun these four took to the ice, for some, a first. Learning the lingo and maneuvering the rocks will be an experience not to be forgotten too quickly…not to mention the physical demands put on the body as it slides down the ice. But congrats ladies for putting it all on the ice, both wholeheartedly and literally.
