Powering Up!

Power Up, an employment program funded by the Department of Advanced Education & Skills and sponsored by the Community Education Network, is underway for another year.

Six adults, aged 25 years and up, in the Bay St. George area have accepted the challenge of overcoming their employment barriers by increasing their workplace skills and finding a work placement to enhance and put their skills to practice.

With the first week of the four week pre-employment concluding participants have completed several training sessions including Self-Esteem, Employment Readiness, Career Cruising and Adapting to Change.  Embracing change and accepting a willingness to put it in action, congratulations to these adults and good luck on their new career development pathway.
