Employment Opportunity: Adult Basic Education Instructor – Level 1 Stephenville
The Community Education Network is a community-based agency with a lifelong learning mandate. We are presently seeking an energetic, dynamic classroom instructor to deliver ABE Level 1 for up to 12 adult learners. The successful candidate must have teaching experience and a demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with course work and experience in adult education
- NL Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of, and experience in Adult Education and Literacy programs and services
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs
- The ability to work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good Computer Skills
This is a temporary contract position from September 11, 2017 to June 15, 2018.
Location: L. S. Eddy Memorial Complex, Stephenville
Salary: $26.40 per hour for 35 hours per week.
